Shipbuilding
Gruppo Cividale is specialized in the production of forged and castings for the shipbuilding industry, military and commercial sector.
Starting from the supplied project, Gruppo Cividale produces the finished and coated components ready to be assembled, that are subject to accurate tests such as the template control, 3D scanning and the static balancing for the blades. Gruppo Cividale offers also a specific service of feasibility study in the prototype phase and assessment of the materials to be used such as carbon steel, low alloy steels, bronze and stainless steel for the blades.
Steel castings carried out can reach weights of 80 tons while bronze castings can reach up to 6 tons; the maximum size possible is instead of 8x5 m.
The components that are realized are intended for the production of castings for naval application on bow and stern. The parts designed to the bow are: spoon bows for icebreakers and for the cruise sector with special configurations; those designed to the stern are: stiffeners for propeller shaft runout, intermediate propeller shaft, main propeller shaft "V" shaped, castings for stabilizing fins apparatus, propellers complete with all accessories for propulsion and manoeuvring in bronze.
Gruppo Cividale is qualified according to the main Italian and international institutions and shipping registers:
• Lloyd’s Register of Shipping for the quality certification of the naval sector worldwide.
• American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) maritime classification authority which certifies with technical expertise the safety of ships and their reliability.
• Bureau Veritas for the evaluation and analysis of risks related to quality, environment, health, safety and social responsibility.
• DNV GL, organization of maritime mutual insurance companies which has consolidated a reliable system of classification and taxation for ships;
• Registro Navale Italiano (RINA) entity that provides services in the field of naval classification based on the compliance of the project and of the materials used in function of the type of load and usage of the ship, in respect of international rules and standards.
