Gruppo Cividale is specialized in the production of forgings and castings for a wide span of applications for the steel and mechanical industry, for drilling and lifting equipments up to the wear resistant applications for earth-moving and mining operations.

Our customers select our products for their critical components with high expected performances. 

Typical applications are the mechanical presses, the rolling mills (housings, chocks, shears, coiler drums), the motor frames, gears and pinions, the cement mills, the lifting cranes and heavy duty excavators.

Steel castings can have a maximum width of 8x5 m and weights starting from 10 kg up to 70 tons each. Cast iron castings from 5 up to 70 tons. 

At the end of its production cycle, each casting/forging is subject to accurate Quality Controls to certify its compliance to the applicable specifications and requirements. We can perform all the NDT controls including specific dimensional controls like the template control and the 3D scanning where needed.

When leaving our shops, the castings/forgings are ready for the next steps at our customers' machining shops or can go straight to the assembly shop already completely finish-machined.

Gruppo Cividale offers also a specific service of consultancy to the Customer in the prototype phase, in the feasibility analysis and in the evaluation of the material to be used. Our wide and long experience covers the widest span of material options: carbon steels, low alloys, high alloys, grey cast iron, spheroidal cast iron up to the stainless steels (including duplex and super-duplex grades) and nickel-based alloys.

Gruppo Cividale can certify its products according to UNI EN 10204-3.2 and UNI EN 10340 standards (steel castings for structural use) and is comply to the requirements of the main international third-party control institutions like: DNV GL, American Bureau of shipping, RINA, Lloyd's Register and others.
